AUGUSTA, Mich. - Senior Lauren Gervais set the program's 54-hole record set by herself back in 2023 at the NCAA East Regional during this year's GLIAC Championship with a score of 221 (+5). The Panthers did not have the type of showing they were hoping for with a sixth-place finish (939). The first round started with a 319 and then the following two rounds finished at 310.

Gervais opened with a three-over par 75 and then finished with a pair of one-over par 71's to tie for second place. She had a total of four birdies in the final round on Sunday and carded a one-under par 35 on the front nine. She also had three birdies in the second round on Saturday afternoon. 

Venetia Chap also had a strong tournament in seventh place with an eight-over par total of 224. Chap shot 74 in the first two rounds and ended with a 76. She had three birdies in the opening round, all coming on par 3's. She would birdie the par-3, 2nd hole all three rounds.

Melissa Walker placed 23rd along with Maia Becker of Parkside at 243. Hannah Robinson and ThaiLee Gerding tied for 32nd place with a score of 253.

"I'm incredibly proud of the way we continue to compete and support each other, even though we didn't quite finish where we hoped this weekend as a team," said head coach Jessica Niemiec. "It was a special moment to witness Lauren finish her senior season with a 54-hole personal best that also broke her own program record she had set in 2023, but it was even more special to watch her teammates surround her with genuine joy and love after the round. I'm optimistic about our team earning a postseason opportunity. The team has put in so much work this season and that's reflected in our solid and steady position in the regional rankings."
