Panthers Drop Regular Season Finale to GVSU

GRANDVILLE, Mich. - The Davenport University women's tennis team dropped its final regular season contest last Saturday (April 18) to Grand Valley State at the Premier Tennis Center.

In doubles action, GVSU won two of three matchups to secure the doubles point. Addison Lind and Maja Sandstrom recorded the lone doubles win for DU. taking down Ipek Sakiroglu and Mischa Briggs at the No. 2 position.

Sandstrom also found success in singles action as well, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-3 over Sakiroglu at the No. 4 slot.

The Panthers will take on Saginaw Valley State at 11 a.m. in Midland, Mich. in the first round of the GLIAC Tournament on Thursday, April 23.
