Panthers Conclude 2025-26 Season at GLIAC Tournament

MIDLAND, Mich. - This weekend, the Davenport University women's tennis team concluded its 2025-26 season at the GLIAC Tournament, hosted at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.

DU opened the weekend with an impressive 4-1 win over Saginaw Valley State, before falling to Ferris State in the semifinals 4-0.

How it Happened
The Panthers picked up the doubles point winning two of the three matchups, At No. 1 doubles, Amy Bloch and Sienna Opray defeated Nicoletta Diamantopoulos and Amelia Dickson 7-7, while Maja Sandstrom and Addison Lind secured a 6-3 win over Fatimah Butt and Natalie Schoenherr at the No. 2 spot.

In singles, Opray won in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 playing at the No. 3 position. Lind dominated at No. 6 with a 6-2, 6-0 victory, while Sandstrom played at the No. 4 slot, winning 6-1, 6-4.
