Women’s Tennis Concludes Impressive 2025-26 Campaign

ALLENDALE, Mich. - After picking up its first NCAA Tournament victory in school history on Friday (May 8), the Davenport University women's tennis team fell in the second round to national-ranked Grand Valley State. The Lakers took down the Panthers 4-0 on Saturday (May 9).

GVSU picked up the doubles point with a pair  of 6-1 victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Sienna Opray and Skye Vandeleur were ahead 4-3 at No. 1 doubles, but the match went unfinished.

In singles play, the Lakers picked up wins at No. 1, 2 and 5 singles to clinch the contest.
