GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Davenport University men's cross country team placed third, while the women finished 10th at the Calvin Knight Invitational on Saturday.

The Panther men recorded 95 points in the 8K, finishing behind Grand Valley State (20) and Goshen (91). Davenport edged host Calvin, which finished fourth with 100 points.

Luke Oyster led the Panthers, placing 15th overall with a time of 26:02.7. Lucas Van Meter followed in 26th place after crossing the line in 26:29.3.

Ian Petruska and Rogan Melling finished back-to-back for Davenport. Petruska placed 34th with a time of 26:40.0, while Melling crossed the line two-tenths of a second later in 26:40.2 to finish 35th.

Jordan Domany rounded out the Panthers' scoring lineup, placing 58th overall with a time of 27:19.4. Liam Bingman finished 93rd in 28:26.0, while Aidan Simrau placed 100th with a time of 28:45.4.

On the women's side, Davenport totaled 240 points to place 10th in the 6K team standings.

Cierra Guay paced the Panthers with a personal-best time of 23:02.6, placing 23rd overall. Freshman Jocelynn Olds crossed the line in 24:56.7 to finish 62nd.
