2013 7's Season Statistics
2013 Post-Season Quick Facts - The Panthers head into Nationals with 4-3-1 record in sevens play. The team has spent most of the season focusing on 15s play as they have did not play in any automatic qualifying tournaments. The team played in the Notre Dame 7s Invitational and finished second to Lindenwood who will also play for in the National Tournament. DU also traveled down Arkansas to partake in Arkansas States 7s Tournament were they went 2-1 getting revenge on Lindenwood and beating another National Tournament team in Oklahoma, but lost to Arkansas State who was ranked number one in the country. The team had several different line-ups, but was able to post 25 tries and a total of 160 points in their eight matches… The only Panthers to play in all eight matches were Willy Urena, Gabe Sochanek, Michael Houston, Nick Glocke, Reece Czarnecki, and Sondai Adjei.
USA Rugby Sevens National Tournament History for DU – Last season the Panthers played in their first ever Sevens National Tournament… They had a rough start on day one losing all three matches in pool play… The team bounced back on day two in the elimination rounds, as they won all three games to take home the Shield title.
