Jim Blok is serving as a volunteer coach and will be working with the team's kickers this season. In 2018, the Panthers connected on 7-of-11 field goal attempts which was a vast improvement from the 2017 season.
Blok has been a kicking coach for the past 18 years and has been coaching football over 25 years. He coached at Grand Rapids West Catholic from 2010-11 and again from 2013-16. He was a part of five state championships in that time period including four straight titles from 2013-16.
He coached at Forest Hills Central from 2007-09, Grand Rapids Northview from 2004-06 and Grand Rapids Creston from 2000-03. He also had a one-year stint at Wyoming in 2012. Blok coached with Sparky McEwen on his staff at Creston and again with the Grand Rapids Rampage. He has been married for 33 years and has four children. He also has been in construction business for over 28 years.
