Travis Zajkowski is in his third year with Davenport football and will be in charge of wide receivers and coordinator of the passing game. Travis served as running backs coach during his first season with the Panthers. In 2019, the team recorded 141 catches in 2019 and had 13 receiving touchdowns. Ulice Gillard caught a school-record 99-yard touchdown pass from Deondre Ford at Ashland. In addition, 12 different players caught a pass. Nate Couturier led the team in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns en route to being named Honorable Mention All-GLIAC.
Zajkowski spent a year at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. He served as running backs coach for the Bulldogs who advanced to the NCAA Division II national semifinals. He coached Jahaan Brown, a Second Team All-GLIAC tailback, a season ago as FSU rushed for 253.5 yards per game.
Zajkowski is a graduate of Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan earning a bachelor's degree in sport management in 2016. He was a quarterback for the Saints and a team captain as well as a three-year starter. He was named MSFA Honorable Mention All-Conference and holds multiple passing records at SHU.
