Tom Hofman

Tom Hofman

Tom is beginning his 2nd year behind the bench with the ACHA Division 1 team. He will work primarily with the forwards in practice and will be sending out the line combinations during games. Hofman graduated from Holland Christian High School and attended Grand Valley State University where he played four years on the ACHA Division 2 ice hockey team while earning a BS in Health Science and a BBA in Finance in 2001. He has over 10 years of coaching experience and is USA CEP Level 4 certified.

Hofman comes to Davenport after coaching two years at his alma mater. As an assistant for the GVSU Women's ACHA D1 team, Tom helped lead the Lakers to a combined regular season record of  33-21-2 and two National Tournament appearances, including the program's first in 2008-09.

Hofman has also been involved with the State Games of Michigan from the beginning. As Head Coach of District 6, Hofman has lead his Bantam teams to a combined 9-1 record, earning the tournament's first gold medal in 2011 and bronze in 2012.

Tom is married to Marcia and they have one daughter, Ashley, who is currently in medical school. Tom works as a fire fighter near his home in Port Sheldon Twp and enjoys riding horses and playing polo.
