Chris Sobieck

Sobieck, a Michigan Professional Golf Association (PGA) member for 25 years, is entering his fourth year as assistant coach at Davenport. Sobieck was the 2021 award winner of the highly acclaimed Michigan PGA Bill Strausbaugh Award for leadership and mentoring. Chris is the owner of High Road Golf Management and is the managing partner of Mines Golf Club in Grand Rapids.

Chris played golf collegiately at Eastern Michigan and was an All-State golfer in high school at Walled Lake Western. He currently serves as the head coach for the girls' junior varsity golf team at Forest Hills Central High School and has been coaching high school and collegiate golfers for over 20 years.

Chris and his wife Keri have two children; Mackenzie, a recent graduate and member of the Davenport University women’s golf team, and Christopher, who is attending Western Michigan and is and is a current member of the air national guard.

"I have a strong belief in incorporating the integrity associated with golf into everyday life and work hard to build up individual confidence through the sport," said Sobieck. "I'm excited to bring my golf experience to help others improve their game and compete at the highest level."
