High School: Played at Roosevelt and recorded a 2.29 goals against average and a 9.18 save percentage in 41 games.

Juniors: During 2014-15 he was affiliated with the Tottenham Stream and recorded a 3.80 goals against average and a .868 save percentage in 11 games.

DU Highlights: During 2016-17 he played in 2 games and recorded a 1.62 goals against average and a .913 save percentage.

In the 2018-19 season, Strand played in two games for the Panthers, including a start against Rochester College.
