Trevor Rothhaas began his playing career at 11 years old with Brownsburg Rugby Club in Indianapolis, IN. Following high school, he attended Davenport University and played rugby for the program for five years. During his time at DU, the team finished as runner-up and bowl champions twice at the Collegiate 7s National Championship. While attending Davenport, Rothhaas also trained at the Sharks Academy in Durban, South Africa.
Since graduating from Davenport, Rothhaas played for the Chicago Lions Men’s Club from 2019–2022 and then for the Grand Rapids Gazelles from 2022–2024. In 2024, he co-founded NXT GEN Rugby with fellow Davenport coach Dom Bailey.
Rothhaas’s coaching career began in 2017 with the Michigan High School All-Star team. He began coaching at Davenport in 2023 and continues to serve there, while also coaching the Midwest Thunderbirds Youth team (2024–current) and NXT GEN Rugby (2024–current).
