Aaron Orban will bring his own playing experience at Davenport to the sidelines as a goalkeeper coach for the Panthers. He had an outstanding four-year career from 2014-17 and saw action in 83 games. He logged 7,474 minutes and posted an incredible 0.88 goals-against average. Orban made 245 saves as a Panther and posted a 61-12-8 record with 26 shutouts. He is the all-time leader at DU in wins, saves, goals-against average, and goalie games played.Â
Aaron was named Second Team All-GLIAC as a senior and was GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week twice (Sept. 26 and Oct. 16). He also was selected to the GLIAC All-Tournament Team after the Panthers captured the title in Midland. Orban was a NAIA Scholar-Athlete, CoSIDA Academic All-District member, WHAC All-Academic and Second Team All-WHAC as a junior. He was named Honorable Mention All-WHAC as a sophomore and made 19 starts for the 2014 NAIA National Championship squad as a freshman. He ranked eighth in the NAIA with a 0.67 goals-against average.
Orban prepped at Suttons Bay High School (Mich.) and set school records for saves in a match (41), career saves (711) and shutouts (22). He was selected First Team All-Conference three times and named All-State twice.
Aaron played for Grand Rapids FC and the Muskegon Risers after his time at DU.Â
