Adam Knight began his tenure as assistant coach for the Davenport men's soccer program in August of 2021. Knight holds a National D Coaching License with USA Soccer which was issued in April of 2020.Â
Knight earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science at Hastings College in 2017. He was a member of the 2016 NAIA National Championship team that went 24-0-1 and was named Second Team All-Conference and was a NAIA Scholar Athlete.
The Wakefield, England native was a two-year letterman after transferring from Indiana Tech. In his two years at Hastings, Knight played in 39 matches and scored seven goals while also dishing out six assists.
Knight previously worked at McKendree University as an assistant coach while working on his master's degree in educational studies. He helped guide the team to the 2019 GLVC regular season championship and a second round appearance in the NCAA DII Tournament.
Adam also coaches at the youth level in West Michigan with the Michigan Fire Juniors SC. His teams include Elite Academy 06 and 08 Boys and GVSA 13 Boys.
