Max Wilhelm

Max Wilhlem hopes to bring his recent playing experience at Davenport University to the sidelines as an assistant coach in 2026. Wilhelm was one of the better defender in the GLIAC a season ago and was named Second Team All-GLIAC as an at-large selection. The native of Suess, Germany, Wilhelm started every match for the Panthers in 2025. He finished his career in style scoring his first goal of the year in a crucial postseason match against Parkside, where he posted season highs in points, shots (7), and shots on goal (5).

Wilhelm played a total of 3,074 minutes in his two seasons at Davenport and made 35 starts on the backline. He would complete his tenure with the Panthers registering two goals and one assist. He began his collegiate journey at the University of Albany for two seasons in 2022 and 2023. He was named to the All-Rookie Team in the America East conference in 2022 and appeared in 16 matches. He also logged 349 minutes during the 2023 season and made five starts.

Max is a part-time head coach with the Michigan Rangers FC organization in Grand Rapids since 2024 working with the U9 and U14 boys teams. Wilhelm maintained a 4.0 GPA at Davenport while earning his bachelor's degree in business and is working towards his master's degree (MBA) in finance.
