Mutersbaugh graduated from Jenison High School in Jenison, Mich. in 2014 and has been playing water polo ever since middle school. He competed for a local area summer J.O. team the summer after his freshman year before joining Rockford’s travel team for the following three summers. In college, Mutersbaugh played for Grand Valley State University and was part of the 2016 Great Lakes Conference championship team that attended the Club National Championships hosted by Notre Dame.
"Since college, I have been officiating games and tournaments while becoming a student of the game, especially under Davenport head coach, Derek Zokoe’s tutelage," said Mutersbaugh.
