Julia Tuuri begins her first season with the program in which she competed for the previous four years at Davenport. Tuuri was the 2025 GLIAC Outdoor Champion in the 100 meters (11.86) and 200 meters (24.38) and also holds the school record in both of those events. She ran 11.69 in the 100 and 24.25 in the 200 during the prelims at the 2025 GLIAC Outdoor Championships. Tuuri is also a member of the school-record 4x100 relay (47.33) which was set Apr. 19, 2025 at the GVSU Al Owens Classic. She is also on the school-record 4x400 relay (3:50.10) established May 2, 2025 at the GLIAC Outdoor Meet.
Tuuri is also in possession of the indoor records at DU in the 60 meters (7.63) and 200 meters (24.63). Those marks came in the 2025 GLIAC Indoor Championships. She is also a part of the school-record 4x400 relay team (3:49.70) that set the mark at the same event. Julia was named to the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence team three times and was also named to the CSC Academic All-District team as a junior and senior. Tuuri is a native of Ada and graduated from Lowell High School.
