Ashley Xiong joins the women's basketball coaching staff for the start of the 2022-23 season. 

Xiong comes to DU after a stint at Grace Christian University based out of Wyoming, Michigan. Her team posted a record of 14-12 during the 2021-22 season when she was the head coach and were 9-3 in their conference. They were able to pick up wins over Kalamazoo College, Cornerstone University, and Spring Arbor University and made an appearance in the NCCAA Nationals. During the 2020-21 season as the associate head coach, the Tigers completed a 10-15 season with a Mid-East Regional Championship and national semifinals appearance. During the 2019-20 season, posted a 18-14 record with a Mid-East Regional Championship and another national semifinals appearance.

“I am ecstatic to be joining the Women's Basketball program and to be a part of the Davenport University family,” said Xiong. “I want to thank Coach Sanders for the opportunity to join her mission in revitalizing the championship culture on and off the court at Davenport. I truly believe that her vision will bring success for years to come. And finally, I would like to thank God for this opportunity and my husband, family, mentors and friends who have been there with me every step of the way. It's an exciting time to be a PANTHER!”

Xiong graduated from Grand Valley State University in December 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management.
