For the second season in a row, Emily Severn will serve as an assistant coach for the women's basketball program after concluding a standout four-year career for Davenport in 2017-18.
Severn, a native of New Lothrop, Michigan, ranks in the top 10 of seven different statistical categories for the Panthers. She's fifth in minutes played per game (22.3), seventh in three-pointers made (182), seventh in three-point field goal percentage (.348), ninth in three-pointers attempted (523), ninth in defensive rebounds (355), tied for ninth in defensive rebounds per game (3.3), and 10th in total minutes played (2,366).
Severn served as a team captain during her senior year and started in all 28 games. Severn led the team in scoring (12.1 ppg), which also ranked 14th in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
She is currently working on her masters in occupational therapy here at Davenport.
