Jori Monnich

Former Davenport women's basketball captain and inaugural member Jori Monnich joined her alma mater's women's basketball staff in the fall of 2012. Davenport has gone 101-6 in her three years on the bench.

Since rejoining Davenport, the Panthers have made three of 11 straight appearances in the NAIA National Tournament, a tradition she helped started as a student-athlete.

In her second season back with the Panthers, Monnich coached the team to a 34-2 record and a eighth straight Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference regular-season championship, a tradition she helped start during her senior season. She also guided the Panthers their third appearance in the NAIA Division II Tournament Fab Four in four years.

Prior to returning to Davenport, Monnich served a similar position at Albion College for the 2010-11 season. Working under longtime head coach Doreen Carden, Monnich helped lead the Britons to a 14-13 record and to the semifinals of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament. Before joining the Britons, Monnich spent two seasons at Siena Heights University. With the Saints, she compiled 28 wins during the two seasons under head coach Susan Syljebeck.

Before she entered collegiate coaching, Monnich spent served as an assistant coach at AAU in 2007 and at Hillsdale High during the 2011-12 season.

As a student-athlete from 2002-06, Monnich served as captain of the Panthers her senior season and has led the team to the program's first WHAC Tournament title in 2006 and first appearances in the NAIA Tournament in 2004-05 and 2005-06. She graduated from Davenport in 2007 and received her Master’s Degree from Siena Heights in 2010.

The former Jori Pacek and her husband Andy reside in Kentwood.
