Mallory Sewell joins the women's basketball coaching staff after a two-year stint as a student-athlete at Davenport. Sewell helped lead the team to a 59-10 record during her two years with the program after transferring from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. The Panthers won WHAC regular season and tournament titles twice and also advanced to the second round of the NAIA National Tournament.
Sewell played in 67 games and made 34 starts in 34 games as a senior. She averaged 9.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in 18.3 minutes per game as a Panther. Sewell shot 49.2 percent from the floor and 71.9 percent at the free throw line. She also finished with 43 assists, 40 blocks and 37 steals. Her career-high of 21 points (11-11 FT's) came on Feb. 4, 2017 against Lourdes and she grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds against Olivet Nazarene on Dec. 13, 2016.
