Paige Wright joined the Davenport women's basketball program in August 2021. She was an assistant coach at Dawson Community College (Mont.) for three seasons. She previously served as a graduate assistant coach at Minot State (NCAA Division II) for two seasons (2016-17, 2017-18). The Beavers improved 10 wins between the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons.
Wright played two seasons for California (Pa.), a strong program out of NCAA Division II and the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. She helped the team to the 2015 NCAA Division II National Championship and finished her two-year career with a 57-10 overall record. Wright played in 46 games in her career at California (Pa.) and averaged 4.9 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game. She also made the Cal U AD Honor Roll during both seasons.
She started her collegiate career at Saginaw Valley State before transferring to Owens Community College (Ohio). She helped lead Owens to a 30-3 record and a conference championship while being named team captain in 2013-14.
While earning her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies at Cal (Pa.), she was a Student-Athlete Mentor at area middle schools, coached at Always 100, Pal Elite AAU and worked at the US Junior Nationals in Washington, D.C., as a court organizer.
Wright, a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., earned her Master’s Degree in Sports Management at Minot State.
