Dominique McBride

Dominique McBride is the lead assistant coach and will begin his third season with the Panthers in 2024-25. He helped the program to a five-win improvement during the first season in 2022-23.

McBride previously lived in Charlotte, N.C. where he has coached and worked since 2018. He has experience with Pro Skills Basketball as a head coach for a boys team and also has been a head coach at the junior varsity level at Christ The King High School since June 2018 in Huntersville, N.C. McBride also served as an assistant coach with the girls and boys varsity program at Christ The King. In 2021-2022 as an assistant with the varsity basketball team, McBride helped guide the squad to a sweet 16 appearance in the NCHSAA 1A state playoffs. in March 2022, he was named the varsity head coach after winning the conference as the JV head coach for 3 straight years with a combined record of 25-2 and having the first undefeated season in school history at 10-0 during the year of 2020-2021. Off the court, McBride has served as a teacher's assistant at Stoney Creek Elementary in Charlotte since March 2018.

McBride had ties to the state of Michigan prior to his commitments in North Carolina. He was an Athletic Video Coordinator intern at Central Michigan University in 2015-16 and graduated from CMU in May 2016 with a bachelor's degree in sports management and entrepreneurship.
