Peyton Romig

Peyton Romig joined head coach Haley Schmucker's coaching staff prior to the 2022 season following a decorated playing career at the University of Indianapolis.

Romig capped off that five-year stint as a Greyhound student-athlete by leading the program to its first-ever national title in the spring of 2022. The NCAA's all-time career leader in draw controls (935) across all divisions was named the 2021 Division II National Player of the Year by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).

During her career at Uindy she received some notable awards which include: NCAA DII Championship Most Outstanding Player...NCAA DII Championship All-Tournament Team...Tewaaraton award watch list...two time IWLCA All-America First Team...two time US Lacrosse Magazine All-America First Team...two time IWLCA All-Midwest First Team...Division II Midfielder of the Year...two time GLVC Midfielder of the Year...All-GLVC First Team...named a finalist of the DII Honda Athlete of the Year in 2021...GLVC Women's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year...also awarded CoSIDA Academic All-District and Academic All-GLVC accolades. She got her undergraduate and Masters degree in Exercise Science.
