Melissa begins her third year as an assistant under Chris Allen. Henson is a 2004 graduate of Grand Valley State where she posted a school-best 0.84 goals against average in her four year career and earned numerous honors including All-Conference and Team MVP.

Upon graduation, Melissa served as an assistant coach for GVSU for four seasons and helped the Lakers make an appearance in the D2 National Championship game.

Melissa is currently a special education teacher at East Kentwood.
