Anne Williamson joined head coach, Justin Vasquez's coaching staff for Davenport University women's swimming & diving prior to the 2018-19 season as his head diving coach.
Williamson resides in East Grand Rapids and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree from Michigan State University.
She has been a USA Diving Certified Head Coach since 2004 and also holds memberships in the Michigan Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association, National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association and Michigan Diving Association.
She received the Bruce Harlan Award by MISCA in 2016, which is the highest honor the organization gives out. In addition, Williamson has won MISCA Women’s or Men’s Diving Coach of the Year eight times while serving as diving coach at East Grand Rapids High School. She has coached Michigan High School Athletic Association State Champion divers in eight different years.
Williamson has previous collegiate coaching experience at Michigan State University (1994-97) and is also currently the Club Director and Lead Coach at Legacy Diving West since 2015.
Williamson had a very successful competitive career while at the University of Illinois (1989-90) and the University of Southern California (1991-92). She was a First Team All-Pac 10 selection in 1991 and a USA Diving National Championship semifinalist from 1990-92. She also excelled in the classroom receiving the Scholar Athlete Award of Honor from 1989-92 and Senior Scholar Athlete Award in 1992.
