Hannah Stone will be entering her second season with the Panthers and was hired as Davenport University’s Assistant Volleyball Coach in the fall of 2017. This past season (2017) was the program's first season in NCAA Division II competition. The team put together a 9-7 record during their first year in the GLIAC and earned the No. 7 seed in the GLIAC Tournament.
Stone joined the Panthers staff after spending the prior two seasons as the Junior Varsity Head Coach. Stone has also coached seven seasons for Far Out Volleyball Club, and serves as an Assistant Club Director. Stone graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Davenport University and currently is pursuing her Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
Stone was a four-year starting middle blocker at Davenport University from 2011 to 2014. As a senior, she led the Panthers to a 36-9, 20-2 Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference Record, clinching the WHAC Regular Season Championship, WHAC Tournament Championship and NAIA Final Site Appearance for the first time in program history. As a senior, she led the team in kills, points, hitting percentage, block assists, and total blocks. She currently ranks third in career kills (1,372), tied for first in block solos (60), first in block assists (474), and first in total blocks (534) at Davenport.
For her efforts over the course of that 2014 campaign, Stone was voted Second Team All-America by Tachikara-NAIA, AVCA First Team All-Region, AVCA Regional Player of the Year in the Mideast Region, WHAC Player of the Year, First Team All-WHAC, NAIA Scholar Athlete, and CoSIDA Capital One Academic First Team All-America.
