Davenport University Athletics

Chris Polan joined the Panther coaching staff ahead of the 2022-23 season and has since completed two years as an assistant.

Polan spent last two seasons as a graduate assistant at John Carroll University before joining the ranks at DU.

Prior to his coaching career, Poland was a four-time MHSAA state placer placing as high as third. He was also a two-time Greco Roman All-American. He wrestled collegiately for Eastern Michigan University (D1) and Coker University (D2). Poland brings a wealth of experience to Davenport having coached and competed at every level of the sport. Off the mat, he currently works as a Student Support Specialist at Dutton Elementary. He is also Part owner of Michigan Xtreme Wrestling and TTS Fitness located in Middleville, Michigan.
