Catherine Palmieri joined the Davenport University women’s wrestling coaching staff in 2026, bringing more than 10 years of experience in the sport, including seven years competing at the high school and collegiate levels.
Prior to Davenport, Palmieri spent three years as a volunteer assistant coach with the Frostburg State University women’s wrestling program, helping guide nationally competitive student-athletes toward academic and athletic success. Her time at Frostburg State sparked a passion for coaching and helping athletes develop their own love for the sport.
As a student-athlete at Life University, Palmieri was a multiple-time national qualifier, an NAIA All-American and a member of a national duals championship team. Her collegiate career helped shape her coaching philosophy, emphasizing hard work, determination and team building.
Palmieri believes collegiate athletics can help student-athletes achieve their goals beyond the classroom and wrestling mat, developing skills that support them throughout their lives.
