DAVENPORT UNIVERSITY PANTHERS

Liz Teague

Davenport University Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Paul Lowden announced today (July 21, 2025) that Liz Teague will be the next head coach of the cheer and STUNT programs.

"Coach Teague is an ambitious, motivated and passionate leader whose dedication to developing student-athletes both physically and mentally is truly outstanding," Lowden said. "We believe coach Teague understands what it takes to compete at a championship level, and she brings the recruiting skill, player development expertise and motivational leadership needed to carry on and elevate the strong tradition of our program."

Teague comes to DU from Siena Heights University, where she served as the head coach of the cheer and dance teams for four seasons. She was also the head coach for the Saints' first STUNT season in school history (2025).

She was a part of the Saints cheer program since 2013, when she was a student-athlete on the squad. Upon her graduation in 2017, she became a graduate assistant until 2020. She spent one season (2020-21) as the assistant coach before transitioning into the interim head coach role the ensuing season.

At DU, Teague will be the third coach in program history for cheer and STUNT, taking over for Celia Kiogima (2015-2025). Rachel Nemmers was the inaugural coach of the programs, beginning in 2009 before stepping down in 2015.
