Davenport University is pleased to announce the hiring of Ryan Adamovich for the position of head coach of the women's flag football program that is set for an inaugural season in 2026-27.
"Ryan brings a diverse range of football coaching experience that will be a tremendous asset in developing our women's flag football program," saidÂ
Paul Lowden, Executive Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. "With women's flag football rapidly emerging as one of the fastest-growing sports, it was essential to find someone who not only understands the game but also has a strong grasp of the evolving landscape and opportunities within this sport."
Ryan Adamovich brings more than a decade of collegiate coaching experience and program-building leadership to women's flag football. He served as the Head Women's Flag Football Coach at Lourdes University (Ohio), where he launched the program from the ground up in 2025, overseeing all aspects of team operations, including recruiting, budgeting, scheduling, fundraising, and offensive and defensive coordination.
Before Lourdes, Adamovich helped start the women's flag football program at Bryant & Stratton College (Wis.), serving as Associate Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator while mentoring student-athletes both on and off the field.
Adamovich's extensive coaching background includes stops at Wisconsin Lutheran College, Lawrence University, St. Norbert College, and the University of Dubuque, where he contributed to multiple top-ranked conference offenses and coached numerous All-Conference and All-American performers at the men's collegiate football level.
Known for his offensive expertise, player development, and recruiting acumen, he holds a Master's degree in Communication from the University of Dubuque and a Bachelor's degree in Communication with a coaching minor from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
"I'm excited to join Davenport University and help build the Panthers Women's Flag Football program," said Adamovich. "It's a great opportunity to create something special from the ground up and establish a strong foundation that supports our student-athletes both on and off the field."
