Kia Frazier was named the Davenport Female Athlete of the Week this week after she led the women’s basketball team to a pair of wins this week to improve to 7-0 on the year. The Lady Panthers beat WHAC foe Indiana Tech and non-conference opponent St. Francis (Ill.).
 
Frazier started the week with six points against Indiana Tech. She went 3-for-3 from the field and also had four assists and chipped in with two rebounds. The senior led the team with four steals en route to an 88-62 win over the Warriors.
 
On Saturday against St. Francis (Ill.), Frazier set a new career-high with 17 points in the game against the Saints. She was 7-for-9 from the field and led the team with seven assists in the game. Frazier also chipped in with a pair of offensive rebounds.
 
Frazier will lead the women’s basketball team into two crucial WHAC matchups this week against ranked opponents; Siena Heights and Cornerstone.
