Davenport University Athletics

Senior Kurt Sprague, a golfer from local Byron Center, Mich. won the WHAC golfer of the week award. Davenport won the Mount Vernon Nazarene Spring Invite on Saturday and Sprague led the way for the Panthers. The team shot a 583 over the 36-hole tournament and were seven over par.
 
Sprague finished with the best individual score at the tournament with a five under 139. He shot a stellar four under par 68 during the first round and rounded out the tournament with a one under 71 in the second round. With his 139 total he tied the school record for lowest score through 36 holes.
