The volleyball team traveled across town to Cornerstone University for a matchup with one of the Top 25 teams in the country, but came away empty handed as the host Eagles defeated DU in three straight games. DU started strong and narrowly lost game one by the score of 30-28. Cornerstone rebounded on the offensive side and took control in game two cruising to a 30-18 victory. Game three was one to forget for the Panthers and nothing seemed to click and CU put away the match 30-8. Davenport will return to action Thursday when they finally get to hold a "home match" against Aquinas College at Northpointe Christian High School. Game time is set for 7:00 PM.
