Thursday night's 3-1 victory over Aquinas marked a first in the Panthers volleyball program as they posted their first ever WHAC victory. After going through a rough first season, Davenport has played up and down throughout the '07 campaign but played well enough tonight to down the Saints (27-30, 30-25, 30-20, 36-34).

Davenport never got on track in game one before dropping the game 27-30. The Panthers rallied in games two and three, using consistent serves and stellar play by their middles, Joyce Larioza and Autumn Williams. Game four was a dog-fight as both teams traded points throughout and each had an opportunity to win but Davenport came through with a solid finish to win the match 36-34. The win takes DU to 6-15 on the year and 1-2 in WHAC play. They will have the weekend off before hosting Indiana Tech on Tuesday, September 25 at 7:00 PM.
