Rebounding from a tough opening loss in the Golden Eagle Invite was all the Panthers had in mind as they took on Grace College in the nightcap. Grace kept up its winning ways from its first match and defeated the Panthers in a seesaw battle.

Davenport played a solid first game but was unable to hold on for the win as Grace rallied from down 28-26 to win 30-28 and took control of the match. Game two was more in favor of the Panthers as they seemed to click more frequently than the Lancers and pulled out an exciting 31-29 win. That was where the momentum stopped though as Grace took charge in game three with a 30-21 win and followed it up with a 30-24 win in game four to close out the match. DU drops to 8-19 on the year with two more matches against Bethel College and Robert Morris on Saturday at Cornerstone University. Game times are set for 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.
