The last time Davenport played U-M Dearborn was the beginning of the conference season as they dropped a tough 4-game match. Tonight, they again played the Wolves and unfortunately found themselves on the wrong side of the same result. Davenport got off to a slow start in game one and let the Wolves gain momentum as they put away the Panthers (30-13, 28-30, 30-23, 30-23). The loss drops DU to 9-21 on the year and 3-5 in WHAC play.
The win, along with some help from others, vaults U-M Dearborn into a 3-way tie for first. Davenport was led by Freshman Autumn Williams 11 kills and Freshman Kayla Vandermolen's 31 assists. After a tough first game, DU rebounded to take game two, but could not manage to put together a full game in either of the last two as Dearborn executed very well on offense and defense. Davenport will travel to Spring Arbor for a non-conference match-up with the Cougars on Thursday night before having the weekend off.
