Adrian, Mich. - The momentum from a great weekend has creeped into this week's conference action as DU picked up its 2nd WHAC win of the season on Tuesday night as they defeated Siena Heights 3-1.

After taking second place in the Golden Eagle Invitational, the Panthers returned to WHAC play on Tuesday night and even after a slow start against winless Siena Heights, came away with their 5th victory in their last six matches. DU came out sluggish in the first set and handed Siena Heights a gift in a 23-25 loss but rebounded in sets two, three and four with convincing wins of 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.

Davenport was led on the night by their offense who totaled a team high 53 kills in the match with 13 of them coming from Kailey Schultz and 10 from Joyce Larioza. Reigning WHAC Player of the Week Kayla Vandermolen posted 45 assists on the night and Heather Deal led the defense with 15 digs.

DU will return to Grand Rapids for a very important match against cross-town rival Cornerstone University on Thursday night. A win by the Panthers would jump DU into 4th place in the WHAC standings. The match is slated to begin at 7:00 PM inside Cornerstone's Mol Arena.
