BOURBONNAIS, Ill. - After winning their season opener with three goals, the Panthers have now gone two games without a score after Saturday's 2-0 blanking by Olivet Nazarene. The loss drops DU to 1-2 on the year with their first home game set for Saturday, September 5 against Olivet College.

Looking to come back strong after struggling against #7 Notre Dame last week, the Panthers offense still could not muster anything significant as they posted only eight shots in the game (five on goal).

Olivet Nazarene, playing their season opener, posted two goals in the second half in route to the victory. David Wood (Middlesborough, UK) posted two shots to lead the way for Davenport.

James Gilpin (Newcastle, UK) took the loss once again as Davenport falls to 1-2 on the year. They will host Olivet College on Saturday at 1:00 PM in their home opener for 2009.
