GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Alex Boehm scored two goals for the second straight game as he led Davenport to a 4-0 shutout of Concordia University on Saturday. The Panthers are now 4-3-0 on the year and will host WHAC leader Aquinas on Wednesday.

The game started out hot for the host Panthers as they applied pressure right from the opening whistle and were rewarded at the 6:40 mark when Alex Boehm (Stevensville, Mich.) took a cross from David Wood (Middlesborough, UK) and put it by the Cardinal keeper.

The offense continued to click as they added two more goals in the opening half as Duvare Minto (St. Mary, Jamaica) and Richard Visser (Holland, Mich.) each scored their second goal of the season.

After coming out of halftime leading 3-0, DU looked to put the game away when Boehm scored his second goal of the game and fourth in the last two games on another assist from Wood.

James Gilpin (Newcastle, UK) posted the shutout on defense for the Panthers as he improves to 3-3 on the year in net.

DU will host a critical WHAC showdown on Wednesday when they welcome Aquinas College to campus for a 4:00 PM kickoff.
