GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The 2010 Wolverine Hoosier Athletic Conference soccer semfinals are all set to kick off on Tuesday with the men's matches and will be followed by the women on Wednesday.  The DU men host Cornerstone at 7:00pm Tuesday while the DU women travel to Siena Heights on Wednesday at 2:00pm.

The trip to the NAIA National Tournament is one step closer for each the men's and women's soccer teams at Davenport.  Both won their quarterfinal match this past Saturday to reach the WHAC Semifinals for the second consecutive year.

The women (9-3-4), who defeated #6 seed Indiana Tech, will travel to Adrian, MI to take on the #2 seed Siena Heights Saints.  Game time is set for 2:00pm as the Lady Panthers will look to take down the two-time defending conference tournament champions.

In their only meeting of the year at Davenport, the Saints claimed a dramatic 1-0 overtime victory over the Panthers.  DU will look to win its first ever semifinal game and advance to the tournament final on Saturday.

On the men's side, the Panthers (13-6-0) have continued their solid play in the post-season by advancing to the conference semifinal for the 6th consecutive year.  Davenport has appeared in three WHAC championship games over that span and will face rival Cornerstone at 7:00pm for a shot at another WHAC crown.

Davenport defeated the Golden Eagles 1-0 on the road in their only regular season matchup this season.  The game will be broadcast on the DAN and live stats will be available.  Click on the above links for more information.
