Comeback not Enough as No. 2 Panthers Fall to UM-Dearborn

Juliano, McWhorter and Morang score in just third league loss of season

DEARBORN, Mich. - A late rally by the No. 2 ranked Panthers was not enough on Friday night as Davenport fell 4-3 to UM-Dearborn.  The loss is just the 7th of the year for DU and drops them to 29-7 overall.  Davenport is now 12-3 in GLCHL action.

Playing their first league game since the first week back from Christmas break, Davenport traveled to Dearborn to take on the Wolves and dug themselves into a 4-1 hole midway through the second period.

A late rally brought DU to within a single goal at 4-3 with 9:30 remaining in the game, but the host team was too strong down the stretch handing the Panthers just their 7th loss of the season.

Davenport got goals from Matt Morang, Sean McWhorter and Jonathon Juliano in the loss as the two teams will meet again on Saturday at 3:00pm in Dearborn.
