GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The volleyball team returned home after playing on the road for the last two weeks and came away with a convincing 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-15) victory over WHAC opponent Siena Heights. The Panthers recorded 11 blocks in the match after averaging just two a set in their previous 32 matches. DU is now 20-13 on the year and 5-2 in WHAC action.

The Lady Panthers secured their fifth win in conference play with a 3-0 victory over Siena Heights, beginning their first of three final home games. From the first set DU controlled the pace of play and used key blocking from their front row to record straight set wins at 25-14, 25-12, and 25-15.

In each of the three sets DU posted nine kills and hit a match best in the third at .444. Juniors Kassie Graves and Brittany Bott had eight kills each with Graves recording a .615 hitting percentage. Hannah Stone (7) and Kelse Moon (8) led the Panthers in blocking and Lexie Spetoskey picked up 18 assists on the night.

The Panther defense forced 27 errors from the visiting Saints while only picking up five of their own.

Davenport is now 20-13 on the season and 5-2 in WHAC action. Davenport will return to action on Friday when they host Madonna University at 7:00pm at the DU Student Center. Live stats and video will be provided at www.dupanthers.com.
