Moon, Bott and Graves Fuel 3-0 Win over UM-Dearborn

Panthers have won 4 matches in a row and host UNOH and Marygrove on Saturday

Box Score

DEARBORN, Mich. - Kelse Moon hit at a .421 clip while Brittany Bott and Kassie Graves joined their fellow junior in totalling 31 kills as the trio led the Panthers to a 3-0 sweep of UM-Dearborn on the road on Wednesday night. The win is the fourth in a row for Davenport as they now stand at 13-7 overall and 2-1 in league action.

Davenport continues to see steady improvement as they go through the middle of their schedule as they finished off the Wolves of UM-Dearborn in straight sets on Wednesday night inside the UMD Fieldhouse.  Davenport will host Northwestern Ohio in a league tilt on Saturday at 12:00 before playing a non-league match against Marygrove shortly after.

Set one seemed to be host Dearborn's to lose but DU never gave in and used a late rally to win 25-23.  The Panthers dug themselves a 19-14 hole before coming together to win 11 of the final 15 points. During the run, DU got two kills from Kelse Moon and one each from Nicole Chase and Brittany Bott for the comeback win.

The late momentum stayed with DU for the final two sets as the visitors dominated play winning 25-19 and 25-18.  Set two saw Davenport hold their largest lead of eight on an attack error from UMD. The third set saw as large a lead as 10 on a termination by Bott to make it 19-9.  DU finished with 28 kills in the final two sets compared to only 16 from the Wolves.
