GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Davenport's nationally ranked men's and women's basketball teams hit the road for the first time in 2011-12 and you can follow the action thanks to live audio, stats and video. The men's team will take part in the Huntington Tourney Friday and Saturday while the women's team takes on Olivet Nazarene on Friday evening in Illinois.
The basketball season got underway last week for both Panther teams and now they will each take their 2-0 records on the road for their first games away from the DU Student Center. Fans will have the chance to follow along thanks to live audio, video and or stats for the games this weekend.
The No. 11 ranked women, under the direction of head coach
Mike Williams, head to Bourbannais, Ill. where they will face NAIA DI foe Olivet Nazarene. The Tigers led all of NAIA basketball last season in scoring offense per game but DU won their matchup 97-69 by holding them to almost 40 points below that average.

Head coach
Burt Paddock will lead the No. 3 ranked men's team into MCC territory where they will play at the Huntington University tournament that sees the Panthers open against Culver Stockton in the opener on Friday at 6:00pm. Davenport will then either play in the consolation game at 1:00pm on Saturday or championship at 3:00pm.
The last time Davenport played CSU was in 2009-10 when the Panthers defeated the Wildcats 80-64 at the Marian University (Ind.) tournament consolation game.
Gene Halbert, who does the play by play for the men's team, will be joined by Dave Herrema who will provide the color commentary for both games.
