EAST LANSING, Mich. - Davenport's DI-AA rugby team completed a perfect fall season today with an 81-10 rout of Michigan State.  The win is the seventh in a row during the 2011-12 campaign and is the 15th in a row dating back to last season.  DU has qualified for the DI-AA national tournament beginning with regionals on April 28-29, 2012.

Davenport finished off a perfect run through the fall season and sent out the cold weather with a bang today with an impressive 85-10 win. 11 different players scored as Davenport led 43-5 at halftime and finished off the Spartans with a 38-5 second half.

Cyrus Turner and Demecus Beach each finished with a pair of tries as the Panthers got scores from Angus MacLellan, Nick Glocke, Ryan Hargraves, Rory Dill, Griffin Benson and Nick Burger as well.

Davenport will now wait until their spring season in which they will prep for defense of their national championship beginning with regionals on April 28-29.
