The road struggles continued for Davenport on Wednesday night but the team did not go down without a fight against one of the Top-10 teams in the country. DU fell behind in the opening set 17-10 and it looked as if Tech would race out to a 1-0 lead but the Panthers battled back to take a 24-23 lead on a kill from
Kassie Graves. The Warriors however rallied and recorded the final three points for the 26-24 win.
Set two again saw IT jump out to a quick 7-1 lead only to see Davenport fight back to take a 15-14 lead on a hitting error by the Warriors. Davenport held their final lead of the set at 19-18 on another kill from Graves. The host Warriors were too tough down the stretch and scored seven of the final eight points for the five point win. The last gasp effort in set two took almost everything out of DU as they struggled in the third falling 15-25 as Tech completed the sweep.
