D1 Hockey Swept by No. 8 Robert Morris (Ill.)

Box Score CHICAGO, Ill. – The Robert Morris offense proved to be too much for the Panthers to overcome as they dropped their second straight decision 6-2 to the Eagles. Dan Zawacki and Cody Walsh each had goals for the Panthers. Davenport will have to regroup quickly as they travel to Liberty next weekend.
 
Robert Morris took the early lead but a Dan Zawacki power play goal tied the game at 1-1 midway through the first period. Mason Bohlinger and Andrew Frank assisted on the goal. Late in the first Robert Morris scored two goals within thirty seconds of each other to take a 3-1 lead.
 
The Panthers cut the lead to one early in the second period when Cody Walsh netted the power play goal. Alex Ostrowski and Josh Munford were credited with assists on the goal.
 
Robert Morris finished the second period with two power play goals and added a third consecutive power play goal late in the third to hand Davenport a 6-2 loss.
 
Davenport falls to 4-3 on the season. The Panthers will travel to Lynchburg, Va. next weekend to take on Liberty in a pair of games.
 
Post-Game Notes
 
Davenport was outscored 11-3 in the two games this weekend…These were the first two meetings between the programs since moving to ACHA D1.
