Box Score KENT, Ohio – Davenport improved to 11-4-1 with a 6-0 win over Kent State Friday night.
Travis White led the Panthers with two goals while four other Panthers chipped in on the scoring. Davenport will look for the weekend sweep Saturday night in a 8:30 PM start in Kent, Ohio.
White scored the first two goals for the Panthers. His first goal came with 3:35 remaining in the first period assisted by
Kevin Noble to give the Panthers a 1-0 lead. He kept the scoring going for the Panthers adding his second goal less than four minutes into the second period.
Stephen Flood capitalized on two good passes from
John Brooks and
Alex Ostrowski a few minutes later to put the Panthers up 3-0. Midway through the second period Noble scored a goal assisted by
Chris Ballatore and
Andrew Frank.
Bo Jacobs and
Cody Walsh added goals in the third period to put away a 6-0 win for the Panthers.
Phil Graveline stopped all 12 shots he faced to earn the shutout win and improve his record to 8-4-1. Davenport and Kent State will go at it once more this weekend in a 8:30 PM start Sunday night.
