The Opponent: #21 Viterbo University (Wis.)
Viterbo (31-7) gained an automatic bid thanks to their conference tournament victory over Grand View (Iowa). The No. 21 V-Hawks are led by head coach Ryan DeLong who is in his eighth season and has an overall record of 236-93 heading into the match on Saturday. Viterbo has been led all season by the one-two offensive punch of Alicia Olsen (588 kills) and Katie Flock (478 kills) as Olsen recently broke the school record for terminations in a single season.

Davenport and Viterbo have played nine common opponents during the 2012 campaign with DU holding a 7-2 mark and VU 8-3 against those teams. The V-Hawks play in the always competitive Midwest Collegiate Conference that features fellow NAIA Tournament qualifier Grand View University. Viterbo lost to the Vikings in the regular season before defeating them in the MCC Championship game to earn the automatic berth. In that match, VU's Katie Flock posted 21 kills followed by Alicia Olson with 17 and Hannah Ripp with 10.
